Circular, on four shell and scroll feet headed by acanthus, with two leaf-clad open reeded handles, the stylized gadrooned rim with anthemion and shell and acanthus at intervals, the fluted dome cover with similar handle issuing from lion's masks and surmounting a calyx of foliage, the body engraved with a coat-of-arms, helm and motto with scrolling foliate mantling, the cover engraved with a crest, together with removable liner, maker's mark Robert Garrard, 1861, fully marked
