An early Victorian gilt-lined table snuff box, the base engraved with a presentation inscription surrounded by flowers and scroll-work, the concave sides also engraved with scroll-work and applied with a cast shamrock, thistle and rose thumb-piece, the lid engraved with scroll-work, flowers and birds surrounding an applied shield-shaped cartouche and bordered by a heavily cast thistle, shamrock and rose frieze, Rawlings & Sumner, London 1839 - 3.5in.
