A Marshall MK11 JTM 45 100 watt Super Amplifier Serial No.7451, 66 valve top, c.1967 with four inputs, two high treble knobs, two regular knobs and two standby switches, finished in black, 10½ x 29 in. (lacks nameplate); accompanied by a letter of authenticity from John Du Cann stating that the amp. was purchased ..in 1967 from Jimi Hendrix's road manager as they traded in the Experience equipment at a shop called Sound City in Shaftesbury Avenue...

John Du Cann used this amp. throughout his career from 1967-1981. In the 1960s he performed at many of the same venues as Hendrix including Bag O'Nails, Tiles, Braises, Speakeasy, The Marquee and Middle Earth. Du Cann played with a number of groups including The Attack, Andromeda, Atomic Rooster, Bullet, Hard Stuff and Thin Lizzy.
