Freddie Mercury conceived the storyboard of images for the video which reflect the eccentric lyrics of the song, he and co-director Rudi Dolezal convinced Roger Taylor, Queen's drummer, to appear as an extraordinary combination of Bertie Wooster and Noel Coward while wearing a steaming kettle on his head.
