Details
A pair of late Victorian walnut and ebonised hall chairs in the manner of Charles Bevan, each with chamfered toprail and uprights inlaid with dots with chevron back and solid seat on pierced uprights and dual chamfered supports joined by a stretcher.
The use of dot inlay is especially reminiscent of the work of Charles Bevan, whose designs were often manufactured by the firm of Marsh and Jones of Leeds, who undertook the famous commission for the Victorian Philanthropist Titus Salt at Saltaire.
