A Victorian mahogany patent adjustable daybed, the double-hinged rectangular seat adjusting by means of a winding handle with removable open arms and scrolling back upholstered in tapestry, on turned legs, brass caps and spoked castors, with sprung seat squab, with brass plaque engraved J Alderman, Inventor, Patentee and Manufacturer, 16 Soho Square and another plaque engraved This couch is the property of Mrs Mason, 29 Adelaide Crescent, Brighton -- 80in. (203cm.) wide.
