A German painted tinplate clockwork 'Maxim's Captive Flying Machine', the pierced three-tier base supporting frame with four gondolas, each with passenger and propellor, surmounted by pair of flags on pole, paper label printed 'Patented in Great Britain by the Sir Hiram S. Maxim Captive Flying Machine Co. Ltd', circa 1910, possibly by Muller and Kaededer (some retouching and reconstruction, propellor blades replaced) --17in. high
