A Worcester (Flight, Barr and Barr) blue ground waisted oval inkwell with two covers and an entwined serpent handle, painted in colours with a sleeping girl watched over by two angels entitled "When sleep has locked the senses in her chain" and signed "Rogers", the ends with two landscapes entilted "On every broken arch" and "From Skiddaw's purple crest", all within jewelled borders, the rims in gilding, script mark in black, circa 1830 -- 6in. long.
