A Victorian part-fluted tapering circular rose bowl on a rising curcular foot with an egg and dart frieze, applied with two part-fluted scrolling foliate handles and with a die-rolled frieze of classical figures, Frederick Elkington, Birmingham 1889 - 15½in. overall, 56.75oz., on a silver-mounted ebonised turned wood plinth applied with a cartouche with contemporary presentation inscription, the other side applied with a white-metal cartouche with later inscription.
