A Japanese lacquered wood tabako-bon, decorated in hiramakie and takamakie with tree peony and shobu beside pierced rockwork, containing three drawers, with metal fittings, the interior of nashiji (old wear, chips) -- 7in.high; a lacquer sake bottle of half chrysanthemum-shape, the top moulded as a flowerhead, on three feet, decorated in hiramakie and kirigane with grasses and flowers between pine and below clouds (old wear) --6¾in.high, both 17th/18th century; and a lacquered box and cover shaped as an egg, decorated with flowerheads, the interior of nashiji -- 2½in.long.
