A Cantonese ivory rectangular jewel casket and hinged stepped cover deeply carved in relief with warriors and officials at leisure and drinking from flasks on pavilion terraces, the sides with rectangular panels of figures in processions and at leisure in interiors, the ends with panels of flowerheads, all within bands of bamboo and stylised motifs, on squat bun feet, the interior fitted with two velvet-lined ivory trays with carrying handles -- 8in.wide.
