A Satsuma tripod spittoon-shaped koro with a shaped rim, painted and gilt with a continuous scene of seated samurai warriors and their attendants, below a band of dense chrysanthemums, the inside of the rim with coiled dragons and mon (hairline cracks to rim) -- 6½in. high, signed Satsuma yaki Dai Nippon.
