Inlaid in silver with square panels of auspicious animals, the tortoise, twin cranes, and stag and sun, on each of the six sides within borders of inlaid fretwork, the lid of the box inlaid with a large character medallion surrouned by a field of fretwork and fretwork-band borders, interior and base not inlaid--4¼in. (10.7cm.) maiximum diameter, 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high, losses above foot on one side panel
