Of oval bombé form, the cover front and back painted in colours with scenes of Chinamen taking tea, smoking and conversing flanked by shrubs above gilt bracket and elaborate gilt scrollwork, the side with single figures on brackets, the interior of the cover with a similar scene, the bases with Chinamen in a landscape in puce camaïeu
