Tipped in at front is an autograph letter signed from James to Gosse [London], "Friday," n.d., 4 pages, 8vo, in which James in his convoluted style arranges a social meeting with Gosse and remarks: "Your letter is most delightful & touching, & gives to my appetite for your reminiscences a fairly wolfish edge..."
