A Shibayama-style ivory tusk vase and cover with rabbit finial and white metal mounts decorated in mother of pearl, horn and stained ivory with two birds seated among peony branches and other flowers issuing before them, the reverse with sprays of chrysanthemums and other flowers, set on an elaborate carved and pierced wood base -- 22½in. high overall, signed on a rectangular mother of pearl tablet.
