Autograph manuscript of his famous poem "Fog." 1 page, 8vo, a fair copy, 6 lines written in thick black ink, traces of mounting tape at upper and bottom edges, ink number near bottom edge, in above slipcase. The verse, which was first collected in Chicago Poems, reads: "The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over harbor and city on silent haunches and then moves on." (2)
