A fan, the leaf painted with a skating scene, with elegant figures about to ride in a horse-drawn sledge carved as a reindeer, in the distance a Punch and Judy show, Pierrot, figures building a snowman, various tents, a palace, boats, a windmill and church towers, the verso with a further skating scene by a bridge, with a woodman in the foreground, the ivory sticks carved and pierced with putti and flowers, silvered and gilt, the verso applied with four paper vignettes painted with Chinoiserie pavillions - 10½in., circa 1750 (old repairs to the foot of the mount)
