Lot Essay

The hinge appears similar to the patents registered by Buissot Frères and by Hyppolite-Aimable Closier in 1855, but the shape of the sticks differs. See Volet, Maryse, L'Imagination au Service de l'Eventail, pp.13 and 15, nos. 55 and 56.
