A late 17th century walnut oyster veneer coffre forte, with applied foliate cut brass strapwork and escutcheon plate, with rising top and drop flap, the sides with ring turned handles, the interior with an upper compartment and two short and one long concealed drawer below -- 17½in. (44 1/2cms.) wide.
