A late Victorian painted satinwood and gilt gesso pier table of broken D-shaped outline, the rosewood banded top inlaid with boxwood and ebony lines decorated with ribbon-tied floral swags and oval medallion above a scrolling foliate frieze with paterae and central classical urn on stop-fluted tapering legs joined by concave stretcher with central acanthus carved finial -- 56½in. (143cm.) wide.
