Leica Historica Band I dates this camera to 1944 when a batch of 290 Leica IIId cameras were made from serial number 367121 to 367239.
The Leica IIId is basically an early IIIc with a raised step under the rewind lever. The major difference is that the IIId was supplied with a built-in delayed action with one extra concentric ring on its delayed action lever.
