A set of six mahogany dining chairs of early Georgian design including two open armchairs, each with pierced interlaced hoop back carved with foliage and shells above bowed close-studded padded seat on foliate scroll headed legs with paw feet, the arms to the elbow chairs with swans' neck terminals.
The design for these chairs are based on a celebrated set of George II chairs at Stourhead attributed to Giles Grendey
