A large late Victorian gilt-lined tapering pedestal cup and cover applied with lion's mask and foliate-moulded scroll handles and on a rising circular foot decorated with foliage and ovolos, the body chased with a broad frieze of flowers and scrolling foliage surrounding two foliate cartouches, one later-engraved with an armorial crest and motto, the other with later presentation inscription, the domed cover also decorated with foliage and ovolos, with an ebonised wood plinth - 19¼in, 78oz; and a white-metal acorn-shaped mount.
