Of rectangular shape with slightly curved sides and shallow well and resting on a flat base, decorated in Oribe style in thick glazes of blue and olive and inscribed in black enamel with the poem Haru kitari kusa onozukara umaru "grasses spontaneously sprout as spring comes", signed on the base in katakana, Ro--9 1/4 x 15in.
