A pair of Japanese bowls and covers painted in underglaze blue and coloured enamels with chrysanthemums and peonies within bands of geometric motifs, the covers with a central fish among aquatic plants -- 9¼in. diam; a polychrome bowl with everted rim painted and gilt to the interior with a central medallion of fish surrounded by a continuous band of long tailed birds among chrysanthemums, peonies and prunus, the exterior with interlacing flowers and foliage -- 10¾in. diam; and an Imari plate painted and gilt to the centre with peonies within a border of alternating panels of ho-o and birds perched on the branches of flowering trees -- 13¼in. diam.
