THE ADAMOWICZ COLLECTION A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF EPHEMERA RECORDING THE FIRST TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT FROM NEW YORK TO POLAND, 1934 This archive records the pioneering achievements of the Adamowicz Brothers and their 1934 attempt to span the Atlantic and half of Europe in a single flight. This collection follows the extraordinary flight undertaken by the Brooklyn Soda Pop manufacturers and brothers, Joseph and Benjamin Adamowicz. "The Conquerers of the Atlantic", as they became known, who flew from the United States to Poland in a single engined Bellanca monoplane which was christened "The City of Warsaw" during a special ceremony held at Roosevelt Field before their departure.
