Lot Essay

The U.S. Air Navy Airship LR3 Los Angeles was built at Friedrichshafen and flown to America as part of representations after the 1st World War. The Zeppelin number was LZ126 and delivery flight was accomplished from 12-15 Oct 1924. The Airship commanded Dr. Hugo Eckener in American service the Los Angeles carried out 331 flights and logged 4398 hours, she was eventually broken up.
