George Harrison posted this letter from Hamburg between December 18-31st 1962. Susan Houghton the fan to whom he addressed the letter had visited George's mother during his absence in Hamburg asking for permission to clean his Ford Anglia. George requested her to do this around January 8th [1963] as this would have coincided with The Beatles return to Liverpool after their tour of Scotland.
