A George III large gilt-lined presentation cup on an engraved rising hexagonal base, the bowl bright-cut with a frieze of roses and other flowers, acorns and oak leaves and with two circular cartouches engraved with monograms, each surrounded by foliage, engraved: "Unanimously Presented to Jn. Hardy Esq. by the Committee Appointed at Bradford in the Year 1800, as a Mark of the Sense they Entertained of his Services, as One of their Delegates to the General Meeting held in London for Promoting the Opposition in Parliament to the Exportation of Wool to Ireland", Duncan Urquahart and Napthali Hart, London 1803 - 8½in, 21.75oz.
