An inverted pear-shaped tea kettle, stand and lamp, the kettle with partly fluted curved spout and swing handle, the domed cover with acorn finial, the stand on three scroll feet, with pierced aprons between, with circular lamp, engraved with a coat-of -arms, the shoulder with later scrolling foliage, Peze Pilleau, 1754 - 15in, 78 ozs.
The arms are those of Wilmot impaling Degge, for the Rev. Richard Wilmot, Rector of Morley and Mickleover, Co. Derby and his wife Dorothy, only daugther of Simon Degge, whom he married on 17th October, 1746
