Peasant and baby, a rare composition-headed clockwork musical automaton, modelled as a man seated on the back of a rush chair holding a pig on his left knee and a 'tartine' in his right hand, in original checked trousers, cut velved jacket, red and white striped shirt, grey top hat and velvet waistcoat, as the music plays he kicks the chair, shrugs his shoulders and closes his eyes and mouth while feeding the pig, who opens his mouth, nods his head and licks the bread - 30in. high by Vichy/Triboulet, Catalogue Number 511 circa 1910
