A finely carved, partially planked, fully rigged 1:60 scale model of a Royal Naval 6th Rate of circa 1730 built by C G Hooper -- 23 x 34in (58.5 x 86.3cm)

With bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging and deck details including carved gilded warrior figurehead, hair rails, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, deck rails, companionways, belaying rails and pins, bitts, gratings, balustrading, capstan, ship's wheel, main deck guns in carriages, ship's boat in chocks with planked and framed hull, gratings, bottom boards, thwarts, oars, mast and sail. The hull, partially planked to reveal frames and beams, has finely carved stern gallery decorated with figures and scrolls, and decorated quarter lights. Finished in black, venetian red and varnish with gilded decoration. Mounted on scantlings. Glazed case.
