A very highly detailed 1:24 scale electric powered wood and metal model of the twin screw diesel harbour tug 'Meeching' built for Sealink U.K. plc, 1960, by P.K. Harris and Sons, Appledore and modelled by J.C. Lamond -- 27 x 48in.(68.5 x 122cm)
With signal mast with radar and radio aerials, halyards and deck details including anchors with 'D' chains, winch, hatches, bollards, glazed superstructure with wheelhouse over with two engine room telegraphs, binnacle, helm, clock, flag and chart lockers, chart and navigation instruments, radar and V.H.F. radio, captain's chair, clipboard and roll of paper and with hooter, loudhailer and fire branch over. Further details include engine room lights, fire buckets, ladder, life raft, life boat in davits with many fittings, tow hook, horses and tow rope. The hull, of double chine shape, is planked and skinned and fitted with two four blade brass propellors (motors removed), twin rudders and 6v. lighting to wheelhouse and is finished in Sealink livery.
