A well detailed display model of the M.V. 'Gripsholm', originally built by Sir W.G. Armstrong Whitworth and Co. for A/B Svenska Amerika Linien, 1925 -- 21 x 80in.(53.3 x 203.2cm)
With signal mast, derricks and rigging, radar and radio aerials and deck details including anchors, winches, cleats, bollards, deck rails, companionways, hatches, bridge with open bridge over, wing bridges, engine room telegraphs, binnacle, ventilators, deck and engine room lights, life rafts, ten lifeboats in davits and many other details. The hull, of laminated construction, is finished in red, black and white and mounted on four turned columns. Wood base.
