A JAPANESE SUZURIBAKO of rectangualr form bearing a roiro ground and decorated with Himeji ken-katakui mon in gold and slightly coloured hiramakie and takamakie, the interior with a fitted tray containing an inkstone and woodcover and a silver mizuire in the form of a flowerhead all on a ground of scattered flowers (some damage), unsigned -- 9½in. (24cm.); and a matching stand, 19th Century -- 11in. (27.5cm.)
