A SIX PANEL KANO SCHOOL SCREEN painted in ink and body-colour on gold paper with numerous egrets, some in flight and others among reeds (old damage), 18th/19th Century, each panel 66.5in. (169cm.) high
The inscription on the reverse reads 'Eitoku kinji sagi byobuisso' (a pair of gold ground screens in Eitoku style).

Once a pair of screens, these were possibly made by one of the pupils of Eitoku II (1740-94).
