A Victorian silver-gilt inverted bell-shaped cup and cover in the early 18th Century taste, on a rising circular foot and with a moulded body band and rim and baluster finial, applied with two harp-shaped handles and engraved an elaborate coat of arms with presentation inscription in Latin beneath, the other side engraved with a monogram within a rococo cartouche, the cover engraved with a crest, Hunt and Roskell, London 1878 - 13in, 69oz.

The Arms are those of Halifax Accolee with those of the same impaling Gray quatering another for Child's First Vicount Halifax, who was born on the 20th December 1800. He married Mary, fifth daughter of the second Earl Gray, K. G., on the 29th July 1829. This cup commemorates their Golden Wedding Aniversary.
