VITRUVIUS POLLIO [MARCUS]. Les Dix Livres d'Architecture de Vitruve corrigez et traduits... par [Claude] Perrault... Paris: Jean Baptiste Coignard, 1684. Engraved title, woodcut device on title-page, engraved initials, and vignettes, woodcut illustrations, full-page and some double-page engravings in the text. Folio, later half calf, worn; edges uncut, a few gatherings (4G) browned. Second French Edition. Brunet V:1349; Cicognara 730; Fowler 418 (note).
Brunet argues that the second edition with Perrault's scholarly commentary and translation, is more complete than the first (1673) and is, therefore, to be preferred. Cicognara comments that among the editions and commentaries of Vitruvius this "tiene a buon dritto uno dei primi luoghi."
