A bronze palstave, with flanges and splayed blade -- 5¼in. (13.2cm.) long, from Austria; a flanged axe with deeply curved blade -- 6in. (14.2cm.) long; another palstave with high triangular flanges and curved blade -- 5½in. (14.2cm.) long, from Wellingborough, Northampton; and a socketed axe with curved blade, three ribs on each face and side loop -- 3¼in. (8.2cm.) long, 2nd millennium B.C.
