A Victorian shaped circular sideboard dish applied with an openwork floral and foliate border, the central boss inset with a medallion depicting the Duke of Clarence, Lord High Admiral of Great Britain and Ireland dated 1823, surrounded by scrolling foliage and a presentation inscription with monogram: " From Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Connaght On His Marriage April 11th 1893", the broad sides chased with a vignette of Neptune seated on a shell and holding a triton, the other three sides chased with two female and one male figure, two of them seated on dolphins, the third on a sea creature with fishes tail and stylised lion head, in a fitted plush-lined octagonal oak case, William Comyns, London 1890 - 14¼in, 29oz.
