Denis de Sallo, Sieur de la Coudraye (d. 1669), councellor of the Parliament of Paris, who gained fame as the founder of the noted Journal des Savants under the pseudonym of Hedouville, left several manuscripts and collected a library of about 4,000 volumes which were stamped on the covers with the letters DDS intwined in different forms (Guignard Armorial II, 427ff. reproduces several examples).
