Lot Essay

The first book is an attractive edition of Dionysisus's classical work on cosmology. Edward Bernard (1638-96) classical scholar, astronomer, mathematician, and orientalist was also an eminent bibliographer and book collector. His book on ancient weights and measures is one of his principal works.
