A pair of late 18th/early 19th century oval paintings on glass depicting Spanish scenes, one with elegant figures in a courtyard with a Moor and angel clutching serpents, and the translated legend The Princess and the Count take leave for the night after their first meeting with Miseno; the other of a dying young man, with rapier, inscribed Meeting with Neucasis, mortally wounded by the Count in a duel, the borders stellar decorated, within carved wood frames -- 23½in.
