A pair of Japanese wood vases, inlaid in ivory, horn, mother-of-pearl, ebony and with metal studs, decorated with immortals and dragons among breaking waves below fruiting trees and clouds, the stepped bases pierced and inlaid in hardstones with panels of mythical animals below a band of mon and foliage, with metal liners (minor cracks) -- 21in.high overall.
