A pair of Japanese six-leaf screens painted in sumi and slight colour on paper on a gold sprinkled ground, one depicting Chinese figures seated in pavilions and walking before buildings on a riverbank in a mountainous snow covered landscape, the other with figures in pavilions and before a waterfall surrounded by high craggy mountains with fishing boats sailing out to sea -- each leaf 65½in.x 23½in., inscribed Naonobu (1607-50), 19th Century, in Kano School style.
