A Mennecy ormolu-mounted white figure alagorical of France in blue plumed helmet, cloak and breast plate holding a shield moulded with three fleur de lys before a tree stump on a mound base, incised D. V. mark, circa 1745, on a later cast ormolu scroll base -- 5½in. high.
