An extremely finely engineered exhibition standard 3½in. gauge model of a Canadian Pacific Hudson 4-6-4 locomotive and tender, built by P.C.F. Thomas -- 12 x 76½in.(30.5 x 194.5cm)
With brazed superheated copper boiler syphon tubes and fittings including, water gauge with gauge glass protector, pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector and with clack valves and wash-out plug. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with piston valves with indicator plugs, steam operated drain cocks, twin ratchet operated lubricators, the cylinders with four-stud stuffing boxes, finely fluted motion, Baker valve gear, two steam operated twin-cylinder 'donkey' pumps, injector and whistle. Further details include fully compensated working leaf springing to all axles, finely detailed brake gear, footplate controlled twin dampers, bell, headlight, cowcatcher and buckeye coupling and many other details. Tender details include twin six-wheel bogies with coil and working leaf springs, steam operated brake gear, double acting hand feed pump, water cocks and other details. Finished in black, blued steel and polished brightwork
