A pair of George II inverted pear-shaped tea caddies and a matching blending bowl or sugar bowl, each on a rising circular base decorated with flowers and foliage and with a acast, floral and foliate finial, the bodies chased with rococo flowers and scrolling foliage surrounding vacant cartouches, the covers with similar decoration incorporating scale-work, Samuel Tailor, London 1753 - 5in, 29.75oz, the three pieces contained in a shaped oblong mahogany and satinwood cross-banded caddy lined in green velvet and applied with foliate-pierced nickel alloy mounts, on claw and ball feet and with floral, fluted and bead-cast swing drop handles, the caddy probably later - length of caddy 12¼in.
