Venetian Decrees -- A 200ll. manuscript on paper, [18th-century], 4to, consisting of a collection of decrees and edicts of the Venetian authority the Doge Bertuccius Valerio, of the Council of the Consiglio de' Dieci, of the Senate Consiglio de' Pregadi, from 1498 to 1656, opening page titled in gilt: 'Bertuccius Valerio Dei Gra. Dux Venetiar. Etc.', and decorated with floral surround in watercolour incorporating the lion of St. Mark and the coat-of-arms of the Doge, the first seven pages in Latin, the rest in Italian, contemporary red velvet with metal clasps (extremities rubbed).
